Being spiritually fit means different things to different people. As is the case with most things in life as we know it. To put it plainly, it’s a broad phrase with a host of meanings. Yet, for the sake of this writing, we’ll define spiritually fit this way. It is having the ability and practice(s) in place to have the spiritual strength, endurance, power, knowledge and wisdom to protect your connection to God/Divine, yourself, others, and the universe from the devices or schemes of evil.
After defining spiritually fit, I would imagine now that your question is, well how do I become more spiritually fit? Well, I’m glad you asked! Though there are many practices, which I’ll go more into soon, I’ll start with the one that means the most and has the greatest impact on all the other practices.
The most important way to become more spiritually fit is by improving and nourishing your relationship with and connection to God/Divine. Improving and nourishing your relationship with God and your connection to Divine is just like any other goal or accomplishment you wish to pursue. It’s going to take some commitment, discipline, guidance, sacrifice, and focused work. Of course, anything worth having or becoming is going to take these same things, if not more.
For the sake of proper digestion, I’m going to put a break in this subject and continue with it at my next writing. I don’t want to follow the practices of most of the marketplace and give too much at one time. When we overeat informationally, we eat in excess and oftentimes that leads to what we're receiving not being properly consumed, absorbed, and retained. With that said, I hope to see you back here soon so that we can dive deeper into becoming more spiritually fit.
In the meantime, here’s your homework until next time – in your own way, solicit the Most High (talk to God) and ask for help in becoming more spiritually fit in your relationship with and connection to Divine.
If you are open to it, I’d love for you to share how God responded in challenging, preparing, and empowering you to improve and nourish your relationship with God. Send me a message here. We'll connect again soon!
