It's been said that, if you do something often enough, you'll get really good at it. Many of us want to know how to hear God's voice and we want step by step on how to hear from God. Truth is, it's not that we don't hear God's voice. God is speaking to us more often than even we know. It's simply that, we don't seek God or practice listening for God's voice enough in order to get familiar with it. We see, hear, and feel the vibrations of God's voice. We just don't acknowledge them.
One thing any of us should do without question is ask God to teach us how to hear God's voice. Many of us love trying to operate things without seeking instructions from the manual of the manufacturer. It doesn't serve us well to, quite frankly it's ignorant, for us not to ask God to teach us to hear God's voice. Why not go straight to the manufacturer?
Next, be willing to hear God's voice. I've found in my life, God is eager to be heard and spend alone time with us, but we're not so eager to do what it takes to listen. We constantly seek any and everything to entertain us every waking minute of the day. We never blatantly position ourselves to work towards a discipline to get quiet, not be distracted and allow God to reach us.
We know the voice of God; we're mostly confused because we know and listen to way too many other voices above the voice of God. To keep things simple, I suggest, start with asking the Divine to teach you to hear Divine's voice. Additionally, take time to get somewhere quiet, no distractions, no other noise -- and just listen. Practice it often enough and you'll get really good at hearing God's voice. Be patient, be diligent, be committed, and be zealous. God is sure to make God's voice known and heard, to those who wanna know and hear it.
