In today's world, we are highly expectant of everything being done, given, delivered, and honored quickly. We don't want to wait on anything or anyone. If it's not going to be now, then we don't want it or have any interest in it at all.
Our microwave and lottery ticket mindsets have spilled over into other parts of our lives and that approach is not serving us well. Sure, sacred writings have stated and declare God formed everything in 6 days and is absolutely capable of doing whatever anyone needs in no time. However, just because God can do it, doesn't mean that's what's best for us.
Though God can do things quickly, it's in our best interest that God doesn't. The Divine not only has to deliver what's coming, but also has to prepare and build us up to receive it. If we're not in proper position or properly cultivated to receive, we could easily fumble it and not produce the good fruit that God expects from us.
So, the next time you're thinking what's taking so long for what you desire, stop and ask God if you're ready to receive what you've asked for.
